About Us:

MouthWatch is leading the charge in Teledentistry, continuously pushing the boundaries of what is possible in virtual dentistry applications. As a Lead Frontend Software Engineer you will be responsible for developing the applications that push those boundaries. Working in an Agile environment with many like-minded engineers, you will be responsible for maintaining code quality, making important infrastructure decisions, and contributing to the more intricate parts of the application functionality. Communication is key on the MouthWatch development team and so a portion of your time will be working with other technical leads to ensure interoperability between the platforms as well as working with business and the software architect to ensure the overall vision is achieved. You will manage the Front End Engineering team as well as act as the development lead for one of our cross-functional scrum teams.




Responsibilities:

  • Lead the frontend development team in designing, implementing, and maintaining responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement features that enhance user experience.

  • Architect efficient and reusable frontend systems and components for future use.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code to ensure the highest standards of quality.

  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance and support.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our frontend development processes.

  • Ensuring robust frontend security through meticulous adherence to best practices and proactive measures to safeguard user data and application integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience using modern TypeScript

  • 5+ years experience working with the React framework

  • Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices

  • Ability to engage on UX/UI design topics

  • Able to work autonomously with an analytical mindset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong team leadership experience



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Docker

  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure as it relates to hosting web frontends

  • Experience with React Native

  • Experience working in an agile environment

  • Knowledge of backend technologies (Node.js, Python, etc.)..

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

Salary Range:

  • $100,000 - $120,000
